The VCBA is a 501 (C) 6 trade group formed in 2010 to focus on promoting collaborative opportunities between charities to further the wellbeing of our industry. Virginia charities have been raising funds through charitable gaming to support our missions for decades. The goal of the VCBA is to ensure that charitable gaming stays a strong part of our fundraising repertoire and that our rights and ability to game are not inhibited.

Since our founding the VCBA has worked to pass over 20 bills in the Virginia General Assembly. Our original focus was on the management and play of charitable bingo. As gaming has proliferated in Virginia and competition for gaming monies has increased and the VCBA’s focus on just bingo has expanded. We are now looking to support our members with knowledge of how and who can partake in other charitable gaming such as electronic pull tabs, and poker. A strong focus on the growth of charitable gaming is a focus of the VCBA.

The second and equally as important cornerstone of the VCBA is making certain that every charity in the commonwealth understand their rights as a license holder.Understanding the regulations can be a daunting and confusing task for any group, but with our years of both operational and legal experience the VCBA leadership can assist its members with knowing where to turn.
